The Minion DHR II Dual EXO WT TR Skinwall 29″ folding tyre by Maxxis – more braking power, more traction, better cornering

The side lugs of the Maxxis Minion DHR II Dual EXO WT TR Skinwall 29″ folding tyre are inherited from the popular Minion Front and provide excellent cornering grip. The shovel-like centre lugs provide maximum traction and braking control.

For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure. This gives better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other ” tubeless ready” tyres. The bead of the Maxxis TR tyres is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. As a result, tubeless mounting is successful for all rims with standard dimensions even during the first inflation and with little liquid.

Wide Trail (WT):
This design optimises the tread layout and tyre shape on today’s modern wider rims. Traditional tyres are designed for narrower rims and become square on wider rims, resulting in a less than optimal performance. WT tyres are optimised for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension of 30 – 40 mm.
